Since around 2005, I've obsessed about improving my guitar tone for live and recording in various rock and metal bands (my main band since 2008 has been Sorizon). I've played on many stages big and small and recorded full albums, guest solos and short pieces for film and promotion. I've lived in the Los Angeles area all my life (except for one fun year in Boston), so I've been able to play just about every type of guitar and amp out there between all the boutique shops and frequenting the NAMM show. In the last few years, I've been getting more into audio production and expanding my gear and tones outside of rock and metal (e.g. with my solo project Double Yeti and folk/country guest guitar solos). I'm finally quite satisfied with my tones and recording setup, so it's time to share what I know to help other lost guitarist souls.
